ECS Newsletter - February 2011

Hello and welcome to the February edition of the ECS Newsletter.

Darren has recently returned home from a 1 week visit to South Africa. The trip was very busy with customer visits both in Durban and Johannesburg as well as a presentation to over 40 potential users of ECS products. The visit was well received by both the ECS agent and the customer base.

South Africa is proving to be a major market for ECS and we are confident of the partner we are working with.

New Operations Manager

Robert Glen has recently been promoted to the Operations Manager of ECS. Robs experience and skills have proven invaluable to ECS and we are confident the his new position will further strengthen ECS and our Operations department.

Oil Prices

It has been well documented that the cost of Oil is on the increase. This is visible when we all make a visit to the Gas / petrol station. Such costs are having a major effect on the price of solvents and IPA. ECS are working to try and provide a stable platform for our customer base however with such global difficulties I trust all customers will work with ECS in this difficult time.

The Technical Department are currently working on some new smooth finish matt UV Varnishes which are designed to provide greater stability both in storage and on press. Products should be available soon for test and trial.

New Products From ECS

Once again the technical team has been working on some new developments this month. Some of the products include:

  • SND128 BIO Roller Shampoo - A powerful and effective yet safe roller shampoo.
  • DM250 Fount System Cleaner - A powerful treatment for regular cleaning of the dampening system. Regular cleaning helps to ensure a more controllable and consistent print.
  • DM111 UV Fount Solution - A UV specific fount solution designed to run with all of the major UV inks available on the market.

Further products in development are a full alcohol-free fount solution for Sheetfed application. This will be launched in March 2011.

It is with sad regret that we bid a fond fare well to Amelie Poole, our Export Coordinator. Amelie is leaving ECS and returning home to France where she will be working, still within the export environment however not printing consumables but alcohol. I am sure you will join us in wishing Amelie a fantastic future.

Helen Saxton will be moving over from our Purchasing department to replace Amelie. Helen has strong customer experience from working within our UK sales department. Helen can be contacted via
